Cisco Umbrella Roaming Client
The Umbrella Roaming Client is a lightweight DNS client that is installed on all devices that need protection outside of your managed networks.
Common scenario is for your users with laptops or that work remotely. The Roaming Client will bind your local DNS server to Cisco DNS Servers providing protection for devices regardless of where or how they access the internet.
The DNS queries are encrypted, authenticated and will enforce your security and content filtering set by your organization. Roaming clients will also be identified by device name on all reports as shown below.
Supported Clients
The Roaming Client can be installed on Windows and Mac OS devices. Umbrella is also supported on mobile devices (iOS and Android) with a MDM and Chromebooks with a G-Suite tenant.
